FAQ

This year you can get involved with FIF in several ways. You can register yourself and your team. You can nominate speakers for the event. You can write about your organisation's exciting work for our blog. There will also be an exclusive Field Visit to give you a glimpse of the development interventions at the grassroots level here in Bangladesh, you can also register for the field visit. Let us know if you want to request a booth allotment at frugalinnovation@brac.net.

If you are interested in attending the forum, please register by filling out this registration form. BRAC Social Innovation Lab will review your registration request and inform you if you have been selected through email.

The registration fee will be fully sponsored by BRAC, which includes the expenses related to access to sessions, accommodation for two nights, pick and drop within Dhaka to/from the venue and all meals and refreshments during the forum. Complimentary transportation to and from the airport will be available for international participants. Any other expenses (e.g. airfare for international attendees) will have to be borne by the participant.

Frugal Innovation Forum 2022 is happening in-person in Gazipur, Bangladesh, on October 11-13, 2022.

The participants will enjoy the following facilities:

  • Entry to all Frugal Innovation Forum sessions
  • Accommodations for two nights (October 11-12, 2022)
  • All meals and refreshments during the forum (beginning with a welcome dinner on the October 11th through lunch on the October 13th)
  • Pick (from Mohakhali) and drop within Dhaka to/from the venue
  • Complimentary transportation to and from the airport for international participants

Please check the visa requirements for your country of citizenship. If you require an invitation letter, please send us the following information as soon as possible to frugalinnovation@brac.net:

  1. Name as it appears on your passport
  2. Date of Birth
  3. Passport number and country
  4. The expiry date of your passport
  5. Organization name and address

As it is a global conference, the language for all communication will be English.

The conference is open to a wide range of stakeholder groups (both global and local), including development practitioners, economists, researchers, policy analysts, and social innovators. The list also includes behavioural designers, human-centred designers, interaction designers, business designers and communications specialists etc.
