Dr Tasnim Jara is the co-founder of Shohay, a health-tech startup working to make reliable health information accessible in Bangla. In less than two years, her health videos clocked around half a billion views and gained 7+ million followers on social media. She was recognised as a “Vaccine Luminary” by the UK government and appeared on BBC’s People Fixing The World program to share her experience of fighting fake health news and improving public confidence in vaccines. Trained in evidence-based healthcare at Oxford, Tasnim works as an internal medicine resident at Cambridge University Hospitals and teachers undergraduate students as a Clinical Supervisor at University of Cambridge.
