Mr. Dewan Jahidul Hassan is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with extensive experience in financial sector program management, access to finance, mobile financial services, women economic empowerment, digital transformations for MSMEs, entrepreneurship and MSME development. Currently he is working with UNCDF to sprout innovative solutions in the digital finance arena that specifically targets to support women MSMEs getting more financing from the formal sector with core focus to improve Women Economic Empowerment in Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Laos PDR, Fiji, and Samoa.
Prior to joining UNCDF, Jahid has also worked for renowned organizations like Robi Axiata Limited, Citibank, Duncan Brothers Limited, Independent University of Bangladesh and for Remittances and Payment Challenge Fund (RPCF) of Bangladesh Bank.
Jahid holds a Master of Science in Strategic Project Management (Erasmus) from Heriot-Watt University (UK), Polytecnico Di Milano (Italy) and Umea University (Sweden). He has completed his MBA from Institute of Business Administration (Bangladesh) and has his Professional Project Management (PMP) certification from Project Management Institute (PMI-USA).
An underlying theme in all of Jahid’s endeavors has been the urge to reform financial landscapes globally to inculcate inclusivity and sustainability.
